There are 10 bachelor-type flats for residents who are largely self-caring and require minimal input. Each unit comprises of an open-plan bedroom and lounge, a kitchenette, bathroom with shower, and a large veranda with a lovely outlook onto the gardens, with birdlife in abundance. All residents have a mobile panic button and the units are wheelchair friendly. Residents in this section receive their main meal at lunchtime and have daily servicing and laundry included in the price. However, this is a flexible arrangement and more care can be supplied if necessary on a sliding scale of fees – to include all meals, some personal care, and assistance with medication.
